Having taken part in the last three years in a project called “Robot Welding, developed entirely in Tknika facilities, the Innovation Centre for vocational training and learning Education Department of the Basque Government has in the neighborhood of Zamalbide in Renteria, the Don Bosco Institute has completed the installation of a welding robot.

From the center located in Errenteria noted that this robotic system “will be a complement to the training of students learning in both the Training Course ‘Welding and Boiler’ Intermediate Training Course as the ‘Structural Steelwork ‘Higher Level, and who will have the opportunity to receive more training, using cutting edge technology. ”

Also, they say, “training of workers who are trained through the catalog Modules and Modular Credits Mechanical Manufacturing Area Hobetuz organized, and is provided at the center, also is enhanced by the new acquisition”, because ‘the worker who access it will have the opportunity to train in a system pointer MIG-MAG welding.
Understanding technology

Along with Don Bosco, the project partners have taken part as three other public vocational training centers, and all members have been coordinated by the Project Dynamic Tknika welding.

The main objectives of the project have been two. First, “knowing the robotic welding technology, its applications in industry and the solutions it provides.” Secondly, ‘to transfer this knowledge to teachers in schools and, through them, to get that knowledge to both students and pupils of Training Cycles, and employees of companies.

To carry out the second objective was lacking to equip schools with the technology. Now, the installation of robot welding Don Bosco has been completed.
